Last night, my whole body itched! I was right- it’s because of my liver! I’ve had mildly elevated enzymes for years. I think my liver doctor is going to want to do a liver biopsy. I just got my blood results from my monthly liver enzymes blood test - something I just knew I had to do without my liver Dr telling me to!- and it’s 171! It should be about 40. It’s higher than it was in February when my liver Dr wanted to do a biopsy! I’m assuming that’s what she’s going to want to do soon here. It’s scary!

I looked it up and while it is primarily processed by the kidneys the liver does contribute a bit and it looks like lower doses are recommended for people with liver failiure (I don't know about liver disease). It's not likely to cause problems but it does happen.

I just took one Zyrtec because I was itching all over and it just made the itching worse.

That's probably not your problem then. When do you see the liver dr?

November! Except now she will want to do a liver biopsy which means I’ll see her sooner. I just saw her two weeks ago.

Well my liver Dr agrees. I need a liver biopsy. She’s getting her team to schedule it for me. N3 said he can take me. It’s the 24th.

My dr, who is fairly new to me, has never checked my liver or kidney functions! Wtf! I guess i never told him i was diagnosed with NAFLD. Crap. And my topiramate ie topamax is notoriously hard on the kidneys. I may need to drill him a new one, in t minus 3, 2...

Was just told that Klonopin is in the same drug class as versed! I asked on my portal if I should skip my Klonopin that morning.

That description of how its performed is ah-mazing!!! So you are kind of alert for it? Yikes! Altho on fentanyl!
Looks like klonopin would help, not hurt. As long as they are aware of it for your other drugs dosages. You have to stop aspirin so you dont bleed out |

I asked about being on Klonopin and the liver nurse said to ask my pnurse on Wednesday when I see her and tell her I’ll be going under conscious sedation.

Thats gonna be awkward! What did that surgeon say about how they make you lie after it? I didnt look up the words. I wish he would have just said "on your right side" or whatever tf he actually meant! Now i hafta look it up.
ETA - "Right lateral decubitus position". Iznt that in the kama sutra?  It IS. I mean, just lying on your right side |

Fwb won’t shut up about his idea that I need to eat eggs and liver to fix my liver! Everybody has their own diet opinions and/or activity opinions and it’s starting to overwhelm me! I’m scared what this biopsy will show.
