It wasn't too cold out this morning, so I did a long power walk considering it is going to get very cold this weekend and for most of the upcoming week, I want to walk while I can. I covered. 7.25 miles, power walked 6 mi, and I jogged the last 0.75 mi though I think I would have been able to at least jog a mile without problems, I just didn't want to push it. I have sore upper arms and glutes today after doing that hard beginner's pilates video yesterday especially from being in the plank and bridge positions for so long.

I love microwaving frozen sliced peeled peaches and eating them with plain Greek yogurt. Unlike those in light syrup, these do not contain added sugar.

Frozen fruit microwaved also tastes delicious, I do this with berries, and with Greek yogurt it’s like a proper dessert.

I did a pilates video since I had a long walk yesterday. I accidentally played an intermediate video instead of beginner. Wow! Let's just say I'm going to be very sore tomorrow and that is with having to modify a couple of the exercises because I just didn't have the muscle strength to move in those positions!

I need to figure out something to eat because I'm at barely 1400 calories. Thats what happens when you don't drink your calories. I'm tired though.

Well I’ve bombed on exercise this week, my fall on Monday shook me up more than I like to admit and I’m a little achy and reticent to try a run. Then I got a notification that I didn’t get in the half marathon ballot which felt like fate talking. Although I know logically it’s just random if you get a place or not there’s a superstitious part of me that clings to fate. My son did get in however and I’m so pleased about that, he’s peak fitness and just ready for this new challenge.

I got some steps in yesterday in a walk with a friend and that was something I enjoyed. I ate quite well too with a rather delicious Lebanese bean salad at a cafe.

I lost another .6 pounds. I worked out around 5:30 this morning. So far I've had 750 calories.

Okay, wow, I am sore today from that intermediate level pilates session yesterday!

I did another long power walk, around 7 mi. this morning. I tried jogging, but it was no go, I stopped after running just a tenth of a mile. Have to get my walking in now because it is supposed to get really cold in a couple of days, down into the 20s. They are even predicting some snow here on Tuesday which is extremely rare for this area.

I just tried my off brand bosu ball. It works great for crunches. I ate about 1,670 calories today. Which is under what I should be at but I've eaten pretty well and my fat and fiber were low which is what I'm supposed to be doing. My protein was at 109. My sodium was good too.

Yesterday: yin yoga.

Today: more than an hour of brisk walking outside. I witnessed how quickly my blood glucose fell after a high carb meal that at first caused a glucose spikes, as it always does.

This is called a postprandial walk and in my experi once it is one of the best ways to counteract glucose spikes.

Near freezing outside...I stayed in and did a pilates video. It was tagged as beginner but I think it hedged onto moderate because some of the moves were a bit difficult for me and tricky. I can tell I am going to be sore from this video tomorrow, and I am still a bit sore from doing that intermediate pilates video 2 days ago!

I did 20 sit ups and 15 leg lifts with my bosu ball, and 300 reps with my ab roller. The diet is still going fine I just haven't been hungry much lately. I've eaten just not the amount I should be.

I’ve been taking long walks outside and/or also treadmill too. I got around 13,000 steps yesterday. Today I got around 8,000 steps. Kinda needed a bit of rest day today.

Tomorrow I’m taking a walk in the snow to the store and am doing an hour on the treadmill. Maybe some weights too. Probably yoga as well.

I cut back on added sugar

Well done on the steps bluebird!

I got out for my first run since my ice fall last Monday, the butterfly stitches are out my elbow and it’s such a tiny scar it’s embarrassing, my hips and shoulder were achy last week but mostly I was shaken up. So I’m glad I got my confidence back for a run today.

Not sure if it was the cold dry weather but I could really smell the car emissions in the air this morning- not sure it’s great for me breathing that in.

Honestly? I could easily eat when I’m not hungry! I would certainly get fed up with counting calories though that sounds tough.

I have a weight loss app I pay $20 a year for. You just search for the food you have eaten and it will pop up with the exact calories and carbs and protein etc. I also use it to track my weight and my workouts and my water intake.

@Blue_Bird - I don't know how you walk in the snow, or run @Discombobulated! I would love to go walking but it's freezing outside, and that is too cold for me! The Raynaud's makes getting my hands too cold very painful, several times I thought I might end up in urgent care but thankfully did not. I did pilates this morning, a pretty good workout for the core & glutes. Getting really cold here tomorrow, the last I saw the low was 17F! I don't think it's been that cold here in my entire lifetime! Snow is predicted too.

I've stuck to my calories today but I didn't work out. I woke up late and I'm a bit achy. I did another 20 crunches last night before bed.

If you have trouble eating enough calories, choose foods higher in calories for your meals/mini meals. Less volume in your stomach but more total calories.
