My favorite is Brie. I hate those Kraft singles that are only good for throwing at people. Not that celebrities should be doing that. I threw my slice in my closet when I was a kid.
So what cheese is your favorite and what kind do you hate?

I love cheese but it's a bad fear food so I've been avoiding it for months. Provologne is my favorite followed by Swiss. I kinda like those kraft singles for PB&Js but not as "cheese" (let's face it, they're not cheese).
I don't really like feta that much but mostly just because when places give you it in a meal (and I'm not fancy enough to buy it myself) they way overdo it. I had it in a wrap once in a perfect amount and loved it. Oh I hate parmesan. That butyric acid smell gets to me. I can't pretend it's not a vomit smell.

I like all cheese, I'm beginning to think: Swiss, brie, feta, parmesan, mozzarella, Provolone, blue cheese, gorgongolza, most of the normal -cheddar, moneterey jack, etc. I don't like Kraft singles but that's about it.

When I was a kid my mom and I were at the grocery store and a lady at the deli ordered blue cheese and I asked my mom why it wasn’t blue.

My grandmother used to feed my sister and me blue cheese on saltine crackers. We considered it a treat. Even though we were kids (around 5, 6 years old) we loved it! I've had a taste for it since.

I stopped buying Kraft Singles when I learned that they are not actually a true cheese. I don't remember the criteria, but those singles come in a package that says, "Cheese food." That's not the same as "cheese," according to the federal government.
I read that the harder a cheese is, the higher its protein content will be. So I buy Swiss and cheddar. Once in a while, I love a grilled cheese sandwich made with American. On crackers, I like those cheese balls that are encrusted with almond slices. They're soft and spreadable. |

For a solid two months my “dinner” used to be swiss cheese microwaved until it melted mixed with sriracha

I too love sharp cheddar warmed at room temperature. Don’t know if it’s true but I read decades ago that the hard cheeses actually help the bacteria in your mouth stay in balance. So I’d warm the cheddar a bit and give it to my daughters before bed. Doesn’t seem to have hurt her, she has great teeth. But now days a dentist coats kids teeth with a protective coat, so they probably don’t need it.

I fell in love with blue cheese. At my father's wake, a cousin asked me to finish the last of the potato salad she had contributed.
I had eaten some blue cheese prior. I had an 8 hour drive back to my city of residence and two hours into it I started to get sick. Real sick. I retched and retched and all I could taste was the blue cheese. I was food poisoned by her runny potato salad. Sick as a dog. Worse than the flu. I couldn't eat blue cheese for the next 20 years, even though I knew it was not the fault of the blue cheese. They do something similar to control predators such as coyotes and wolves. They poison a sheep carcass and let them feed on it. The get so sick from it, they want nothing more to do with sheep. |
