My med nurse this morning said this might be happening to me. Is that really a thing? (Please tell me if it is, I can take antibiotics and not have these thoughts again! But also more importantly don't lie to me)

If you have strep throat, you definitely need to take antibiotics.

I don’t believe strep is causing OCD though, but if one already has OCD, it could be triggered by physical illness. Some people have health OCD which is pretty much having health related compulsions/obsessions.

I wonder if a nurse meant that you being physically sick makes your OCD symptoms worse.

I never had/don't really think I have OCD, though. I've just been ridiculously anxious about stupid shyt for a while.

There's something called PANDAS that is an OCD-like thing caused by strep but it's supposed to just be in kids. My friend's son had it pretty badly.

There is PANDAS in children. I don't see why it can't happen in adults (which is probably what @unaluna was referring to in your other thread). Please see:
