My mom used to get upset with me if I called myself a redneck. But then she came from a major city in the North where "redneck" was an insult. According to the guy in this video, I'm a redneck. Many years a member at PC who recently joined us at MSF called me a redneck princess. It was meant as a compliment. I've worn the title proudly ever since.

@redneckprincess lol Um, native Texan here. 4 of those things I can identify with to one degree or another. Driving through high water is a hard no. I might drive through high water if there's even higher water behind me. There's only three things that can happen when you drive through high water and two of them are very bad.

A bayman is a maritime redneck. Like a redneck...not a bad thing on the whole. Beautiful heritage. The terms get muddied though, by misconception and the actions of a fraction of the total. That's my take.

When The Beverly Hillbillies first came on tv, my mom quite seriously informed me we were Italian hillbillies, that she grew up just like them.

Lol....I was mostly Rednecked when I lived in Calif but after moving to Ky became 100%. I laughed about the snake cause I found a 4 ft black rat snake in my upstairs bathroom a few years ago. Used a long riding crop & a collapsable trash can to catch it & take it out to my woods & told it never to come back inside my house again. So far so good HOWEVER I did find a 4+ ft snake skin near the garage door that goes into my kitchen. Think it is staying out in my garage this time.

Yea, water, I look at it & judge depth & height of my 4x4 truck before making any decision.

Lol....I do have 2 huge burn piles in my front field that need to be burned. Been dealing with burn bans lately but hope to get to it this fall cause I keep adding brush to it. Pretty soon the whole county will see when I burn it.

I laughed about the gun shots. Last evening was outside with my doggies & heard target practice on a nearby farm (getting ready for hunting season). I wanted to play "chuckit" ball with Cote (Aussie dawg). He heard the shots & seemed concerned. I threw the ball out into the field & he said "NO WAY" so I had to go fetch it with him right at my side. He did pounce on the ball, grabbed it & ran back to the basement door & sat there with the ball in his mouth until I let them inside. Guessing Cote isn't quite as redneck as I am
